MSC-certified yellowtail flounder & sole
A premium flatfish with sweet, mild flavour and a flaky texture — our yellowtail flounder (Limanda ferruginea) comes from an MSC-certified fishery in which Ocean Choice holds the large majority of the quota.

Overview
Yellowtail flounder is the flagship of our groundfish portfolio. The Grand Bank fishery earned MSC certification in 2010, and Ocean Choice holds the large majority of the certified quota — a major factor in the stock's recovery and careful management.
We process the species at our Fortune plant into fresh and frozen fillets (skin-on and skinless), pan-ready preparations, headed-and-gutted (H&G) fish and whole round, with by-products available. Fillet sizes run from 1.5 oz through 8 oz+, and whole fish are graded in 100–300 g bands.
Block and shatterpack formats are available, in pack sizes such as 1 × 10 lb, 4 × 10 lb and 1 × 16.5 lb, for retail, foodservice and further-processing customers.
